Role and purposes:
The non-synthetic peptide angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitors, a major role in renin - angiotensin - aldosterone system (RAA system). RAA system inhibited angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE), or prevent angiotensin I-converting angiotensin II, aldosterone and can inhibit secretion. For high blood pressure, also used the diuretics, digitalis category ineffective treatment in patients with heart failure.
